  • Even though most European cities have a history of Christian roots, most Europeans today have never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel.

  • Many Europeans now see Christianity not only as false, but as an immoral and oppressive religion. This has led to “Christophobia” or disdain for the faith.

  • Unbelief—atheism and agnosticism—is the fastest growing “religion” in Europe.  There is even a category of Europeans who call themselves Christian atheists—they belong to a church, but don’t believe in God.

  • Less than 3% of Europe's population is evangelical.

  • Less than 1% of the total population in a dozen European nations consider themselves evangelicals.

  • Evangelical churches in Europe are struggling to survive against cultural pulls and political opposition.

  • Europe is truly the most post-Christian, secular, hardest-to-reach continent in the world.

Europe is Lost
in a Dark Age

“The spiritual darkness of today's Europe calls for a new Reformation—a Reformation which spreads the Gospel across the continent and revitalizes and strengthens the Church.”

Dr. Daryl McCarthy

The Need and The Call

Christian academics, church leaders, professionals, and political leaders recognize a need in Europe for biblically based leadership training. Leaders across Europe are asking to be better equipped to serve God more effectively in their places of calling.  Helping them is why The Leadership Anvil exists.

Our Strategy for Equipping Academics and Leaders

Equipping Academics and Leaders

For I have a great sense of obligation to people in both the civilized world and the rest of the world, to the educated and uneducated alike.
